While taking lessons at one of Houston's fine piano stores I had the pleasure of playing new pianos that arrived from renowned manufacturers such as Bosendorfer, Mason & Hamlin, Seiler, Bechstein, Bluther, and Seiler. I noticed that even the world's best pianos needed to be regulated for touch and response, tuned and voiced to bring out their full capabilities. I played numerous instruments both before and after Luis worked on them. The difference in response and tone was amazing. He brought to life the fine qualities of each manufacturer's instrument. The same was true with fine old heirloom Steinways and Masons that had been brought to the store as trade-in or consignment piece. 15 years ago I purchased a new Model BB7' Mason and Hamlin. Luis set up the instrument going over it carefully, adjusting the hammers, regulating the action, tuning and voicing it. The sound is wonderful. I haven't let anyone else work on my piano in the 15 years I have owned it.

I have been looking for just the perfect piano for the last 10 years. This year I feel lucky because I found just that piano. It is a Steinway, black, just what I wanted. I ran into Luis by accident, when I first saw the piano I fell in love with the sound but it needed a few final touches, when I came back to try iy again it sounded so much better and I was sold not only on the piano but also on the technician. That's when I realized that Luis was a great technician. Luis treated that piano with special love. I am so glad I di not buy a new Steinway. The sound on this one is so much richer and more powerful and also I have the best tech in town to tend to my baby "Grand".

Luis is extremely talented, thorough, and professional. The quality of his work goes beyond words, and it has a great impact on my instrument as a whole.
